Wellies for my wife

My wife also wears wellies very often and she loves them. Here is a picture of latest purchase, Hunter refined tall riding boots. As clearly visible, these boots are much taller than original model. Boots are up to her knees really, but sitll comfortable to wear becouse of soft material and U -shaped cut at backside. These Hunters are great for wellie filling fun, they are so tall that the mess inside won't spill out too easily. So we had to test boots for wellie filling, the very first time she pulled her new tall Hunters on she first poured porridge inside each boot. It was a great feeling for both of us.

Hunter nightfall wellies today

Now that I have weared Hunter nightfall wellies quite much, they are all crackled and full of holes. Wellies are still very nice and fun to wear, this time shafts are folded down. Not very good for wading any more if one doesn't like of wet feet. For everyday use at home they are just brilliant.

Hunter Nightfall

Earlier this year I purchased new pair of Hunter nightfall wellies in size 44 EU or 10 UK. Special boots as Hunter advertise: constructed using a swirling technique that gives each boot a unique pattern. It was lucky found in one web store becouse these boots are hard to find in big sizes. My wife already has one pair of Nightfall Hunters and they look nice to me and her. I got my boots and disappointed for very first time ever, boots were mismatch in size. You can see in this picture how the left boot is smaller, when measured it is true, left one is propably size 9 when right one is 10 as should.

So I needed to return new boots to seller. Luckily again, there was another pair in size 10 for sale! Immediately had to order again. So after all it was time to try new Nihgtfalls. They are nice boots which I like to wear. Becouse of white colour, boots are comfortable even on hot and sunny days. They don't collect so much heat as black ones.

Opentoe Hunter Boots

Summer has arrived and weather is rather warm. Found this Hunter april fool from two years ago, it is so hilarious:

Funny thing is that without knowing of this april fool before, I really produced my own pair of Hunter original open toe wellies. Added with some extra holes for better air condition, designed for summer time.

This is from summer 2014, now it would be nice weather to wear them again.

These boots are my latest purchase for myself. These are new model and named slim. They really are little more slim than my blue Hunters. I suppose that calf is about 1 cm more narrow and they feel more snug fit on foot. I like these ones, very good boots for walking.

There is a zip on side as you can see on picture. It helps wearing if you want to tuck jeans inside. Zip is useless to me but it looks nice anyways. It brings some difference compared to original "basic" boot.

Today I was out with these Hutners, there is good mixture of ice snow and cold water and boots kept my feet warm and dry. I was happily surprised the soles of these new boots are much better now, especially grip is now wonderful. Boots are very nico to go shopping too.

The new style Hunter original 2014

Some weeks ago got my new blue Hunter original wellies. Styling has changed a little bit. Boot itself has changed a lot too.

Rubber material is different than before, somehow it feels more flexible meanwhile it is not thinner. Perhaps there has been some improvment against aging, only time will tell how robust boots thes are in use.

Fitting is much wider too, the footbed is wider and shafts are at least 1 cm wider now. Both changes are not so welcome to me, old model was better. But if you have thick calves so these boots are for you. Can't say that they are sloshing anyways.

Insoles are included with this new model. They are quite thin, and after some use they are rolling around.

After some tests I must say that these wellies are very comfortable tho. They are comfortable and nice for walking. I suggest.

Hunter Original Great silver.

These are the boots that you can see on my blog. I truly love these boots.
If you compare them with standard Original wellies, there is some differences. The rubber is a little bit of thinner than others. Lining is colour striped when in standard edition lining is white. These "Great" models feel lighter in use and they are much more flexible.

This pair in picture is now 14 months old and very much used. Took this pic today, we were shopping with my family. It is so nice to wear proper footwear in autumn rainy weather. Not only me, many others weared wellies today as I noticed. One girl was wearing black Hunters too, in some reason in my country black is most wanted colour for wellies.

And yes, I have swum with these silver Hunters slipped on my feet last summer. It was so fun. Boots must be tested in many kind of situations, and used very often.
